| I've had a several comments posted on the guestbook which I thought I'd have a place to respond to them. In addition, since the guestbook overwrites itself eventually this would at least keep the information to hand Sign into my and leave a comment both positive and negative are welcome. Jamhal writes... (my comments are in italics) Sir, 2. The Nigerian government or Third world governments should be blame
as the governments has failed to fight corruption in totality which they
the governments officials are fully indulged in (the president included
as the case of Nigeria). Nigeria is a country more blessed than any country
in Europe yet few of his citizenry are involved in this shameful act.
The question on any sane mind will be to ask, why will a few people from
a blessed country like Nigeria be involved in this? 3. The western government should also be blame more. Why? 419 scams emanated
from fraud involved by known African government officials (past and present)
with these western governments. Most of our stolen wealth was taken to
these western countries with the full knowledge that they were stolen
money but accepted open-handedly to develop their countries. If this act
as been nipped in the bud and these funds refused, there won’t have
been 419 scams at all. These fraudsters are using this method and believe
me; people are falling because they know that it is something that really
happened in the past. The only difference is that there is no real money
involved now. Mobutu, Abacha, Obasanjo, Guie, Babangida, Savimbi, Koroma, etc are known
criminals (living or dead) who have stolen monies slashed away in Europe,
Asia and America which was used to develop these continents or countries.
Today, what have been done to stop future government from slashing stolen
wealth abroad? To conclude these points, I will like to state that because of scams
and the conclusion that it’s Nigerians that are perpetrating the
act, it has become really hard to make friends and have honest business
transaction. I think people and you in particular should understand that
only a very few are involved in this. Nigeria is a country with loving,
talented and hard working people. Some of them have established themselves
in excellent professions and have made great contribution to the world
development. I cannot mention names of these notable people but any sane
mind will understand what I am saying. There are many more of us who are
striving to make a difference in life. Please, give us a chance. Condemn
the act and the people involved and not the whole country itself. My heart bleeds and tears roll down my eyes as I write on this. I will
like to help in anyway and I welcome any reactions directly. |
